About the Author

I am a Christian, first and foremost. Jesus Christ is King of the Universe—no ands, ifs, or buts.

I graduated from Elmhurst College in May, 2006 with a degree in History and Theology. While EC is affiliated with the UCC, I had the privilege of studying there under A. Andrew Das, a Pauline scholar and conservative Lutheran.

Currently, I am working with my dad and my brothers in two business ventures: an export marketing business dealing mainly in Japan, and a graphic design and audio/visual studio.

I’m a member of Christ Covenant Church of Chicago (CREC), which is still a relatively new work, constituted in February 2008.  I recently registered for classes in the MAR (Master of Arts in Religion) program at Reformed Theological Seminary through their virtual campus.  My pastoral mentor through my studies at RTS is Pastor Charles Muether, pastor of Hope Reformed Presbyterian Church (OPC) in Pella, IA.

More about me . . . I have a broad range of interests, from theology to music composition, to martial arts, to fiction writing, to filmmaking.  Hopefully all these interests converge to support my identity as Christian. I suppose success in that regard that will be for others to judge eventually.

Christus Regnat!

All should be warned that I am a perfectionist. I may splash ideas on the page as they come to me, publishing them immediately, only to return in a day or so to revise and refine. I guess that’s the writer/editor in me. So old posts are subject to change without notice. However, if someone posts comments and I make changes due to that, I will make note of those changes.

  1. Hi Chris,

Enjoyed your website but keep in mind being a perfectionist is not a good thing…better to pursue excellence rather than perfection…I have more on this and would be happy to share it with you at some time in the future.

  2. Marv,
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I understand that there comes a point when one must consider a writing finished and let it go. The comment about being a perfectionist is sort of facetious, and simply a reference to my tendency to post quickly and edit later.

Enjoyed meeting you at Big Cedar. Wishing you all the best!

    ~Chris
