About the Author

I am a Christian, first and foremost. Jesus Christ is King of the Universe—no ands, ifs, or buts.
I graduated from Elmhurst College in May, 2006 with a degree in History and Theology. While EC is affiliated with the UCC, I had the privilege of studying there under A. Andrew Das, a Pauline scholar and conservative Lutheran.
More about me . . . I have a broad range of interests, from theology to music composition, to martial arts, to fiction writing, to filmmaking.
Hopefully all these interests converge to support my identity as Christian. But I suppose that will be for others to decide eventually.

All should be warned that I am a perfectionist. I may splash ideas on the page as they come to me, publishing them immediately, only to return in a day or so to revise and refine. I guess that’s the writer/editor in me. So old posts are subject to change without notice. However, if someone posts comments and I make changes due to that, I will make note of those changes.

Hi Chris,
Enjoyed your website but keep in mind being a perfectionist is not a good thing…better to pursue excellence rather than perfection…I have more on this and would be happy to share it with you at some time in the future.

Marv,
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I understand that there comes a point when one must consider a writing finished and let it go. The comment about being a perfectionist is sort of facetious, and simply a reference to my tendency to post quickly and edit later.
Enjoyed meeting you at Big Cedar. Wishing you all the best!
